  • In the UK, two women every week are killed by a current or former partner.

  • Every 6 to 26 seconds an incident of domestic violence occurs in the UK.

  • The most dangerous time for a woman and her children is when she attempts to leave home.

  • Only 40% of actual domestic violence incidents are reported to the police.

  • The police receive a call for assistance for domestic violence every minute of every day in the UK, an estimated 1,300 calls a day and over 570,000 per year.
