COUNSELLING
The Jewish Women's Aid counselling service was established in order to provide high quality, free and confidential counselling support to Jewish women who have, or are currently being affected by domestic violence.
We offer one to one counselling sessions with a trained counsellor. The service is open to all Jewish women who are, or have been affected by domestic violence. Women who do not fall into this category may be referred to other services. Counselling sessions offer time to explore your feelings and openly talk through your difficulties in a safe, confidential and non-judgmental environment.
In December 2009 JWA launched a free telephone counselling service, as an alternative to face to face counselling. This service is open to all Jewish women, and has the benefit of being readily accessible to women outside London, who cannot therefore access the face to face counselling service that is based in the capital.
We accept direct referrals from women or through a third party with their consent. All women are assessed for their suitability for counselling by our trained staff.
If you would like to know more about the counselling service or would like to access the service, please contact the office on 020 8445 8060 (during office hours only) or call the helpline freephone 0808 801 0500.. |
