We are currently looking for two:

REFUGE SUPPORT WORKERS
28 hours per week - Fixed term contract to March 31st 2014
From £25,331 pro rata

JWA’s refuge is staffed by two support workers and a part-time team leader. It has space
for 8 women and their children, and is the only kosher refuge in Europe. You will be based
in the refuge and be responsible for risk and needs assessment and key work. You’ll provide
emotional and practical support for women affected by domestic violence, including
assisting them with benefits, immigration and legal advice.

You’ll be enthusiastic, empathetic and creative, and able to work with people under pressure
and independently. You will already have experience of working with vulnerable groups in
supported accommodation. Knowledge and understanding of domestic violence and the
Jewish community is essential.
