Volunteer for us

Jewish Women’s Aid is proud to be a community organisation run by Jewish women, for Jewish women. We depend on our dedicated 150-strong nationwide volunteers to help us deliver some of the core services supporting those affected by domestic violence and abuse.

Why volunteer for JWA?

There are a range of volunteer opportunities available, from administrative support and awareness raising to directly support our clients with counselling or legal support.

As a volunteer, you’ll meet like-minded people committed to ending violence in the community, with a full induction and ongoing training and supervision as needed. Roles are flexible and expenses are covered.

Volunteer opportunities:

For the charity:

  • Administrative support
  • Awareness raising
  • Board of Trustees

With women and children who need our services:

  • Complementary therapy
  • Counselling, both face-to-face and remote
  • Helpline
  • McKenzie Friends, supporting women through a legal case

Our Volunteer Programme is proudly supported by the League of Jewish Women.

We’re grateful for their generous sponsorship, which helps us train and support our incredible volunteers, the heart of our work with women and children affected by domestic abuse and sexual violence.
