Karin takes on Strictly Come Dancing for Jewish Women’s Aid
On 2nd November, I will be dancing with a professional ballroom partner on the stage at the Arts Depot as part of Maccabi GB’s Dancing Strictly London 2025.
I decided to join dancing strictly London competition not just to challenge myself and step out of my comfort zone, but also to raise money for JWA a charity close to my heart. JWA support Jewish women and children affected by domestic abuse. With 12 contestants each representing a different charity, it’s an incredible opportunity to raise awareness and funds in a fun, engaging way.
For me this is closing a circle as my first interaction with JWA was when I went through difficult time and needed their support.
Dancing in this competition is my way of showing other women that healing is possible and that no one should ever feel alone.
If I can do a Rumba in a sequins dress and raise awareness for JWA at the same time, then I’ve already won.
