Jewish Women's Aid Shabbat This year's Jewish Women's Aid Shabbat will take place on 12-13 November 2021. It is a truly cross-communal event and is supported by Office of the Chief Rabbi, United Synagogue, Reform Judaism, Liberal Judaism, Masorti Judaism, S&P Sephardi Community, Jewish Leadership Council and the Board of Deputies. The goal is to focus our community on the issue of domestic abuse and sexual violence, and generate important conversations that lead to a culture change. This can take place in shul through sermons, or around the shabbat table with family and friends. This year we have launched a Community Toolkit to facilitate these conversations, so please take a look at our fact sheets, video, conversation starters and more. The Toolkit can be used all year round but some of the content is specifically aimed at supporting participation in Jewish Women's Aid Shabbat: - An article by our CEO Naomi Dickson, that can be inserted into your shul or other community newsletter in the run up to the Shabbat - A fact sheet with quotes from our community leaders - Social media images that you can share in the the run up to the Shabbat, expressing your support - Conversation starter cards Please take part and help us effect real change in our community!
