Jewish Women's Aid takes an active role in raising awareness of domestic abuse and sexual violence against women and girls, and during November and December 2020, we join other women's organisations in marking the 16 Days Campaign, which begins on International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women (25 November) and culminates in Human Rights Day (10 December).
This year we have launched our campaign #AMaskWontProtectHer to raise awareness of the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on domestic abuse in the Jewish community and on 20-21 November, Jewish Women's Aid Shabbat will be marked across the Jewish community.
On this page you can find videos of support from Jewish leaders for our cross-communal shabbat, as well as additional resources.
26 November 2020: You can also join our free virtual event, 'Lockdown Unmasked' hosted by broadcaster and journalist Emma Barnett. Donations to our #AMaskWontProtectHer appeal can be made here.
