Sue Charles is a recently retired media lawyer. She worked in, and led, media departments at several London law firms, including DJ Freeman and Howard Kennedy, before founding her own firm, ACK Media Law, in 2008. The firm advised broadcasters, filmmakers, rights holders and publishers across all areas of media law for nearly two decades. She retired from private practice in 2026 and now works as a strategic consultant to a small number of former clients. She is also focusing on the charitable sector, supporting Hammerson House in North London, particularly in palliative care.
A mother of three and grandmother of one, Sue is passionate about supporting and empowering women.
